TONO is a clinician-focused tool created to make eczema more visible across all skin tones. Traditional dermatology references often underrepresent patients with darker skin, leading to disparities in recognition and care. TONO was built to close that gap through clear, consistent, medically accurate visuals and interactive learning modules.
Eczema presents differently across skin tones. On darker skin, erythema may appear purple or gray instead of red, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is more frequent. Without inclusive resources, clinicians risk underdiagnosis or misdiagnosis. TONO ensures that every patient is represented, helping to improve equity in dermatological care.
To empower healthcare providers with inclusive dermatological references so they can recognize and treat eczema accurately in every patient, regardless of skin tone.
